Sign-up for the yearly trip to Mt. Bandai in Fukushima is now live! This year's journey will take place on October 10-12 (Sat.-Mon.). Don't worry, Monday is Respect-for-the-Aged Day, so you don't have to take nenkyu! You can find all (or most) of the information you need as well as the sign-up form here:

Now that we have said goodbye to the leavers, it is time to welcome new Sendai and Miyagi JETs to our lovely prefecture!
This year's Welcome Party will be on Saturday, August 22. Please sign up using the Google Doc form by Saturday, August 15.
Come get to know each other over food and drinks at 匠 (takumi) in Ichibancho and join us for karaoke and dancing later!

Hanami season is just around the corner and that means sitting under the cherry tree blossoms, eating your favorite J-foods like yakitori, karaage, and takoyaki, and some drinking times with friends, and often some random Japanese people as well.
