YAMAMOTO 山元
Yamamoto is the last stop before hitting Fukushima and has twin peaks that might draw the mountain enthusiast out of you. Shihouzan is a small mountain from the top of which you can see in all four directions, including views of the ocean and Zao. It's a 2-hour hike to the top; or a short drive for the lazy or busy. Shinzan/Shounen no Mori is a similar mountain with a slightly less spectacular view. However, this one offers bike rentals and BMX trails. The town's also got plenty of apples and strawberries for the fruit lovers, too.
