Volunteers NEEDED!

Shavees Wanted
If you are interested in shaving your head and collecting donations of support from your family, friends and coworkers then please register for our event. The Miyagi St. Baldrick's shaving extravaganza (featuring live music, break dancing, a nomihodai, a non-nomi option, shaving and a 'make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside' Charity event) will be held on March 20th, 2010. This happens to fall on a long weekend right after we get paid...so, BOOM, we all win. The event is going to be held at Club Shaft in Sendai. The money we raise will go to help children right here in Japan (Children's Cancer Association of Japan). When you shave your head for St. Baldrick's you:
a) raise money for kids with cancer
b) get a free haircut
c) join a sexy party.

If you want to be a shavee please contact Miyagi St. Baldrick's at: miyagistbaldricks@gmail.com
or register online here:
https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/participantinfoform/eventid/1762/eventyear/2010

Once you contact us we will tell you what to do next. Of course you can also volunteer to be shaved at the event but if you register early you will be able to raise more money for kids with cancer. One word of caution, we strongly recommend that you consult with your schools before shaving.

General Volunteers/ Supporters
We also need people to volunteer their time at the event, to attend the party and to sponsor shavees. If you want to volunteer at the event please contact us at miyagistbaldricks@gmail.com. We also ask that you consider contributing by having a great time at the shaving event/party! There will be music and there will be partying. Last, but not least, please consider sponsoring a shavee and/or donating at the event. Last year we raised over 2,000 USD. Together we can top that figure.

What is St. Baldrick's?
It is a non-profit organization that helps fund childhood cancer research. Volunteers hold shaving events to help the St. Baldrick's organization in this endeavor.

What is the CCAJ?
It is a non-profit organization based in Japan that helps fund childhood cancer research and gives finacial support/assistance to children (and their families) that have cancer.

Once again, March 20th, 2010...Miyagi St. Baldrick's.
Please mark the date in your calenders and join in the fun.
